Wheels are important! Most Mardi Gras ladders have wheels mounted on the sides of the box so that the whole assembly can be dragged or pushed. But do that every night and your shoulders get a serious workout! I knew there had to be a better way.

I tossed the wagon and used all the rest of the parts mounted directly on the ladder. I chose a fiberglass ladder for strength and the yellow color.
I made the box removable and mounted it on the top when horizontal, so the kids could ride. Smooth wheels and a handle made for an easy stroll.
A few years later, I swapped the standard wheels for some larger softer inflatable ones. I'd recommend buying the rugged version of the little red wagon if you try it.
I always dreamed of motorizing it. Never made that happen though.
